DAVE THE CHIMP

Some of my recent work is influenced by skateboarding, with a lot of shapes coming from the shapes of skateparks. I am also thinking about ways to express the movement of skaters around these spaces, but haven't thought about it all that much, or found a way to present it visually.

Then today I saw this photograph "Half Past Midnight" of Burnside Skatepark by (ex-Schmitt Stix pro I think) Bryce Kanights. It's incredible! And if I had a spare $1000 I'd buy it. If you do, then I suggest you head on over to www.arteryportland.com right away!

Beautiful. Now I've got to think of a way of stealing this idea without anyone knowing... ;-)
